Everything indicates it! As many as 44% of Polish companies declare that they expect a salary increase for employees in the next six months. Everything is related to the deficit in the labor market. There is a shortage of employees, so entrepreneurs must encourage them to pay higher.
Who will get a raise?
As many as 44% of Polish companies declare that they expect a salary increase in the next six months. They are mainly companies from western Poland, that is, from regions where work is the most lacking. Recall that companies from this region increasingly have to compete with neighboring companies from Germany, which recently opened their labor market to foreigners, and offer remuneration at the European level.
We can expect increases in all sectors of the economy, but mainly in industry, in which the fight for employees is the strongest. Companies compete in the amount of remuneration to keep old employees and download new ones.
Why do salaries go up?
There are several reasons. The first of them is competition on the labor market. Companies are developing and looking for employees, mainly physical, but not only. They also look for ways to keep current employees. Additionally, in 2019, the government plan of Employee Capital Plans will enter into force. In order to compensate employees for the loss of wages associated with the postponement of part of the salary in PPK, Polish companies are forced to raise their salaries. In addition, the government once again increases the minimum wage in the country.
